This summer internship is designed to give you experience in the support of domestic and foreign patent prosecution. HFZ will provide opportunities for you to engage in IP content which can include working with invention disclosures, patent searching, patent drawing, preparation of Office Action Responses, performance of technical research, preparation of Information Disclosure Statements, claim study, prosecution and legal strategy, inventor and patent examiner interviews, and clerical and file support services. The summer internship is a window into the world of patent prosecution and what it is like to work in a professional patent prosecution and counseling law firm.
Junior or rising senior in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering / Computer Science with good academic performance. Unfortunately, due to limited internship opportunities Sophomore or Freshman candidates will not be considered for this summer internship.
